How do you get kidney disease? Do you often sit too long without any activity of the body? Looks like you're one of the many people who love doing this habit.

Most of the time we spent sitting. But such a habit that is not a healthy way of life, so you should start reducing it now. Prolonged sitting is linked to health problems, one of which kidney disease.

An estimated 10 percent of adults in the United States suffer from chronic kidney disease characterized by reduced kidney function over time.

Unhealthy lifestyle is one factor in kidney disease, and a sedentary lifestyle are passive, too much sitting, lack of physical activity, is known to lead to kidney problems.

Research conducted by a team from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom for 6000 adults showed that women who eventually sits, more than 8 hours a day are at risk of suffering from kidney disease.

Lifestyle such as this also applies to men, but the effect is lighter. Previous studies have linked passive lifestyle with a variety of serious diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and some cancers.

Regular physical activity, such as walking 30 minutes a day, known to lower the risk of kidney disease. However, the same effect was not seen in women. "I think the most important thing for women is to reduce periods of sitting," said Thomas Yates, a researcher.

The results of these studies strengthen the evidence sitting dangerous for health, good for those who are skinny or fat, as well as for the active sports person or not.

"The results of various studies consistently show too long sitting is unhealthy living habits and greatly affect the health of the body, even in people who are obese or those who diligently exercise," said Marc Hamilton, a researcher who has long researched about the sedentary lifestyle.
